2006 Zeitgeist Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

2008 Zeitgeist Syrah Mt. Veeder Napa Valley

We used a combination of whole cluster and whole berry fermentation and selected Rhone style barrels for this tiny project. The resulting wine is opulent, dense and fully statured. It was in barrel for 20 months and is ready to be drunk immediately. Only two barrels were selected for bottling. 47 cases produced.

In 2005, we were able to get a very small amount of Syrah from Thompson Vineyard in Santa Barbara County. Our philosophy with such a small lot was nothing added, nothing removed—only one barrel was vinified! The wine is approachable, fruit-driven and succulent. 23 cases produced.
